GEORGINA CAMMALLERI
After years of producing, I shifted to directing, making my debut with the Horse Hitman episode for Netflix’s Bad Sport, a docu-series on sports scandals that I also co-developed.
My first feature, Right to Fight (Sky), tells the story of the women who broke barriers in US boxing. It screened at Sheffield DocFest and DOC NYC, earned a commendation at the Sports Broadcast Awards, and was nominated for Best Single Documentary at the Broadcast Digital Awards.
Right now, I’m developing three documentaries, including the Olympic Twins project, which is supported by both the Chicken & Egg Development and Research Grant and the Catapult Film Fund.
When I’m not filming, I love making music videos (one even landed a UKMVA nomination), taking photos on my rusty 35mm Nikon and spending way too much time on Claude.
